Where is the Wedding?
Our wedding will take place at Solitude Mountain Resort. Solitude and its sister resort, Brighton, offer incredible hiking, biking, and other forms of recreation during the summer months. We encourage those able to attend our wedding to take advantage of BCC's incredible beauty and variety of outdoor activities. Please be aware that because BCC is a watershed area, no dogs are allowed into the canyon. No exceptions, not even in cars. Sorry.
Where Should I Park and How Do I Get to the Venue?
Please park in the lower Moonbeam parking lot.
From there, you can either walk along a paved pathway or take a shuttle to the ceremony location. The ceremony will take place at the Solitude pond next to St. Bernard's and Apex Express. Apéritifs, hors d'oeuvres, and a luncheon reception will all take place at Last Chance Lodge.
What Should I Wear?
This is an outdoor wedding of two pretty casual people. As such, we'd love our guests to feel comfortable, while also understanding mountain weather can be variable. We suggest sundresses and light jackets or shawls for ladies in attendance, and polos or short sleeve dress shirts for the men. Please feel free to wear shorts or pants.
The area for the ceremony and reception will be a mix of paved surfaces, gravel, and dirt, so we suggest wearing comfortable shoes, flats, or wedge heels. Chacos welcome!
What Is the Temperature Like?
Expect temperatures to average in the low 70s during the day and high 40s during the night (Fahrenheit).
We will have sunscreen and bug spray on site for anyone who forgets to bring their own!
Will there be Games or Dancing?
We will have lots of lawn games and volleyball/badminton set up in place of a traditional dance floor, so bring your competitive spirit!
